The proud princess Krasomila lives in seclusion, her advisors plan to marry her to a weakling; King Miroslav disguises himself as a gardener to improve his pride; they flee the advisors' fury; he discovers her identity; they marry, the advisors are banished.. The core of the animation team consisted of Czechs, but animators from Spain, Poland, Mexico, Slovakia, France, Venezuela, India and Ukraine also contributed to the film in various ways..
